Prof. Hyun received the B.E. degree in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering from Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, in 2005, the M.E. degree in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Gwangju, South Korea, in 2008 (Advisor : Prof. Yo-Sung Ho), and the Ph.D. degree in the School of Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea in 2021 (Advisor : Prof. Munchurl Kim, VICLAB). He was a Principal Researcher at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), Daejeon, South Korea, from 2008 to 2024. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Control and Robot Engineering (CRE), Gyeongsang National University (GNU), Jinju, South Korea since 2024. His research interests include video coding, wireless video transmission systems, deep learning based defense and aerospace imaging systems, and airborne embedded telemetry systems design. |
