Research Area

  • Aircraft structural design and finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Development of multifunctional composite structures and evaluation of their applicability to aircraft structures (e.g., Radar-absorbing structure, anti-/de-icing technologies etc.)
  • Development of thermoplastic composite manufacturing processes and integrated structural technologies
  • Simulation-based prediction and verification of composite material properties

Introduction to the lab.

  Composite Structural Lab. (CSL) conducts research on the full development process of composite structures, from design and manufacturing to testing, evaluation, and structural analysis, while encouraging fundamental competencies in the related field. In response to the emergence of the New Space era and the growing importance of future aircraft, such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM), we are carrying out research on core technologies for multifunctional composites that can be applied across various industries.
