생화학 교실은 생화학 및 생화학실습을 강의하고 이에 관련된 연구 활동을 하고 있다. 생화학은 생명현상을 의화학적으로 이해하려는 학문이다. 생명현상의 근원은 생명체에 존재하는 분자들의 화학적 상호작용에 있다. 생화학을 이수하려면 동물의 체내에서 일어나는 화학반응에 대한 생화학적 지식이 있어야 한다. 생화학자들은 생명체를 구성하는 분자들이 어떠한 구조와 기능을 가지고 있는지, 세포 내의 분자들이 어떻게 형성되고 변환되며 상호작용하는지, 또 생명체가 어떻게 생명에 필요한 에너지를 얻게 되는지를 연구한다. 따라서 수의생화학은 수의학의 가장 기초가 되는 학문의 하나로 본과 1학년 두 학기 동안 기본적인 수의생화학 강좌를 제공하고 있으며 대학원에서 심층적인 강좌 및 생리활성물질의 대사 및 질병에 대한 다양한 연구를 수행하고 있다.
